Jad Montenegro is an independent musician and writer from Davao City. She was the host of 2 rock shows on SouthSpotTV called Durian Shake and Muzikbox. She is currently working on finishing her EP called Fixed Points and Pendulums for her self-titled band, with bandmates Dave Ibao on drums and Pjoe Sabanpan on bass. She was awarded Best Pop Artist of The Year by Muzika Del Sur for 2009, and won Best Music Video for 2010. She is the vocalist of Polar Depth, an electronica/experimental band. Polar Depth was also given a special citation for Breakout Electronica Artist in 2009. To support her bad habits, like playing gigs for free and producing an indie album, she works from home as a writer. She is married to professional comic illustrator John Amor.
